This will become effective from 1st September 2011.

After discussions with the ASA on the overall competition programme for school age children we have amended our Calendar of events.

The principle changes are as follows:

The Inter-Divisional National Championships will
 take place in June/July each year, starting in the next academic year, on 30th June & 1st July 2012.
The swimming programme will be more comprehensive.  Divisional Teams will be selected prior to the end of April.

The Secondary School Team Championships will be held in November-the next ones being on
26th November 2011 at Southampton.  
Divisional Trials will be held in September/early October.

All other swimming and Water Polo Competitions will remain the same.

Diving and Synchro Championships have been suspended for the time being

At our AGM last October the ESSA voted to reorganise our Association into
8 Divisions from 12.
These 8 Divisions will mirror the ASA Regions.

The new Divisions are listed below:

North East Division :

Northumberland, Durham, Tyne and Wear,
Yorkshire, North Lincolnshire and North East Lincolnshire.   

North West Division :  

Cheshire, Cumbria, Greater Manchester, Lancashire, Merseyside and the Isle of Man.

East Midland Division:  

Derbyshire, Leicestershire, Rutland, Northamptonshire, Nottinghamshire and Lincolnshire
 (excluding N & NE  Lincs)   

West Midland Division:  

Staffordshire, Shropshire, Warwickshire,
Herefordshire and Worcestershire.

East Division:

Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire, Essex,
Hertfordshire, Norfolk and Suffolk.

London Division:  

London, including all London Boroughs

South East Division:

Hampshire, the Isle of Wight , the Channel Isles, Oxfordshire, Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Sussex, Surrey and Kent.

South West Division:

Cornwall, Devon, Dorset, Gloucestershire,
Somerset and Wiltshire
